Women Gateway was established in 2002 as a joint venture project between the Bahrain Business Women Society and Al-Nadeem Information Technology. It is mostly concerned with women issues and specifically in business women concerns. The portal provides various information and facilities for women, from business issues to beauty and health care, the portal has it all. Women Gateway is the one stop for women on the net. Its vision is to create a business portal, aimed at women, which will serve the Arab world in many capacities including unique information, business support, trade, and contact generation. This is a long term vision that will be achieved through first being a business portal for Bahrain and slowly expanding to cater for the Arab world.
The business venture WG are proposing is the creation of a unique portal that will serve the Arab community in providing unique content and services to help boost business in the region. This portal has a specific focus on women and even a more specific focus on business women. However, due to the unique nature of its informative content, it will be useful to males as well.
The power of the venture lays in the information uniqueness and breadth of content, but also in the fact that this venture is founded by the Bahrain Business Women Society.
